10 months old!

Today Isla is 10 months old! At her last doctor's appointment she weighed 19 lbs, 12 oz. and is 29" tall. She is very happy all of the time, clapping and waving and full of interesting noises that we wish we could translate. Her favorite thing to say is "da da" and she loves to wiggle and dance to any kind of music. She is trying so hard to pull up and is in perfect position to crawl; if only she could put it all together, she'd be chasing Bosley around the house!

But what's the most exciting thing about being 10 months old? Getting your first tooth! Finally, one on the bottom has started poking through!

C is for Cookie!

What better thing to do on a cold, rainy fall day than make cookies with Grandma! We baked chocolate chip bars and sugar cookies shaped like acorns and leaves. We'll see if our Thanksgiving guests approve on Thursday!

Play date!

Today, Isla's good friend Adeline came over for a play date. Baby Estelle came too and enjoyed a long nap while the girls had some fun. Adeline is very sweet to Isla: holding her hand as they play, singing songs to her and even sharing her goldfish snacks. Before it was time to go, I took a few pictures of these cute little buddies!

Birthday Buddy!

UPDATE: Baby Girl Murphy has been named Estelle Marie. How cute!

Here's Paul and his new birthday buddy, Baby Murphy. Name still pending...but oh so sweet!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Paul's 32nd birthday and what a day it's been! Actually this whole weekend has been full of celebration...

Our friends Kris and Maryann were married on Halloween! It was a beautiful day for them and such a fun time!

We all danced the night away and sang to Paul at midnight. Cheers!!

But the fun didn't stop then... After making it through a long day, our friends Alicia and Justin were looking forward to a good night's rest before the birth of their second child. Alicia was due on November 6th. Yes, was due! In the middle of the night they rushed back to Chicago to welcome their baby girl into the world at 6:11 am! Baby girl Murphy is yet to be named, but she looks just like her big sister Adeline. And Paul is so honored to have a special little birthday buddy!
