No tricks, all treats!

Alright, Buzz. Let's get this wagon on the road!

Off to a good start!

Hot dog cart?

This house was the start of Bosley stealing the show. This guy thought the hot dog was the funniest thing ever.

Kameron: "Does this house have any suckers?"
Keaton: "What am I wearing and why am I here?"
Isla: (singing) "Cheeseburger in paradise...Medium rare with mustard 'be nice."

The cutest part of the day.

My Rex!

"Can I get a pull off that, Buzz?"

Those two crack me up!

Kameron took all of the suckers from this neighborhood.

I think this cheeseburger is well-done!

Jackpot!

Thanks, Aunt Jaime for taking me around with my cousins today. I had so much fun and can't wait 'til next year!

Trick-or-Treat!

Isla's very first trick-or-treat!

Hurry Bobo, there's more to get!

I could get used to this holiday.

Grampy loves cheeseburgers!

Thank you, Alsip neighbors for all of the candy! Now, on to the next stop...

The Cheeseburger finds...a HOTDOG!

This is just what I needed!

C'mon, BoBo, let's go get some candy!

Happy Halloween!

Cheeseborger, cheeseborger, cheeseborger!
Hmm...what sounds good with my cheeseburger?
Fries? Root beer? Maybe some extra pickles? Chocolate milkshake?

Alas, I must find SOMETHING to go with my burger...

4th Annual Kapellas Karve-off

Last night we started our Halloween celebration by carving our pumpkins from Goebbert's. This year, we had a very special helper. With her tools in hand, Isla was ready to "goops" (scoop) out the insides, with plenty of "ewww's" for effect.

Ready to carve and roast those seeds. (Isla had to head off to bed at this point after all the scooping.)
Here's my finished product. Paul thinks I have an unfair advantage somehow...is it my mad X-acto knife-wielding skills? Time to snack on the yummy seeds!
Still hard at work. Note: my pattern had a 4-pumpkin difficulty level. His was a 3.

Spooky! We did an awesome job, if I don't say so myself.

Pumpkins, pumpkins and gourds, oh my!

A few weekends ago we took a special trip to Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm in Barrington. We've never seen so many pumpkins and gourds. Isla had a great time looking at every last one of them.

Whoa! It's almost as big as me!

This one's more my size.
Isla ran into a few of her favorite "friends", Dora and Swiper.

The best way to know if a pumpkin is good for carving is to sit on it. Isla did a lot of sitting that day.

Mama, this rocker is a little bigger than mine at home.

This was such a fun day, we think it's going to be a new yearly tradition!

Are you a good witch or a bad witch?

...depends on the day, according to my mama! *wink*
