Merry Christmas 11 month old Isla!!!

Looks like Santa needed an extra kick to get going after our house...2 beers! And no milk. Bad Santa! Isla had a great Christmas morning and is so happy to be 11 months old on this special day. More Christmas fun to follow...

Ready for Santa!

Isla's nestled all snug in her bed with visions of sugarplums dancing in her head...

Santa's elves paid her a visit earlier in the day, and left a little present to let her know the jolly man is on his way. To thank Santa, she made sure he had enough fuel to keep him going tonight. She sure hopes he likes Sam Adams Light.

P.S. Thanks to Aunt Jaime and Uncle Nick for these special Christmas jammies and Craig and Jacquie Spiers for the plate for Santa's cookies!!!

A December to remember...

Yes, we're totally stealing that from the Lexus commercials, but since Isla's first visit from Santa is just over a day away, what else could we call this month?!

"Soaphawk"

Wow, this is a great snack! How I earned the name "Isla Mae Mess Face"!

Daddy is so funny! I love when he gets home from work!

My first time trying eggs...and I think I like 'em!

Look at my pink shirt! My mama wore this when she was my age. Pink is my color!

All I have for Christmas are my two bottom teeth!

Me and my dog B

HO! HO! HO!

We took Isla to see Santa a few weekends ago. She didn't smile, but she didn't cry either, which is remarkable considering we waited in line for over an hour and went past nap time!

Since she was such a good girl, Santa gave her a little bear. She loves it so much, it goes to sleep with her at every nap time.

Fun with my cousin

After Zoo Lights, Isla and Kameron had plenty of energy for play time at our house. Someday Kameron might learn to love all of Isla's hugs.

Zoo Lights!

One of the best parts of a cold Chicago winter is wandering around a favorite summer destination, the Lincoln Park Zoo, for Zoo Lights. Nick, Jaime and Kameron joined us for the kids' first experience.

O Christmas Tree!

Last friday night, we put up our Christmas tree – a pleasant surprise for Isla the next morning! Even Mr. B was happy for the start of the holiday season.

So blessed!

We hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for all of our family and friends, near and far, and truly enjoyed spending this holiday with all the local relatives. Paul and I are especially grateful for our sweet little baby, Isla, who has filled our hearts with love and made us happier than we could ever imagine.

Isla sampled some turkey, mashed potatoes and cranberries today. Although the cranberries went over the best, she prefers the ready-made harvest squash turkey for now.
