I'm a big girl now!

Isla is 15 months old! We can hardly believe how fast the time has gone. She had a great visit to the doctor on Monday. She would tell you otherwise (due to the shots) but she is so brave and was happy to get 2 stickers from Dr. Benuck.

Here are some stats:
23 lbs. 11 oz.
32" tall
6 teeth (and counting...don't see any new ones, but us sleep-deprived parents know they're there!)

Isla is pulling up, standing and cruising along the furniture and anything else she can to prop herself up. She loves to use those pearly whites to eat all kinds of crunchy things now (pretzel rods are a favorite) and is very curious when something or someone leaves her sight, saying "Go??" with arms extended and shoulders shrugged. And our friendly little girl says "Hi!" to almost everyone she sees. And she's still in love with books!

And we're very proud of what a great traveler she is. We're working on a Boston trip recap. She had so many new experiences there and had so much fun at Fenway and watching her daddy run the Marathon.

Another big adventure is coming on Saturday...Isla's first Cubs game! Yes, she went to a Red Sox game first, but she knows where her loyalties lie.

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday Mommy! We love you so much and hope you have a great day! Thanks for being the greatest mother and wife we could ask for.

Go Cubs Go!

It's Opening Day!
And this little hopeful fan is ready for a good season! Isla will be visiting the Friendly Confines for her first game on May 1st.

Last night at Big Yia Yia's house, Isla and Kameron worked on their version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". Their cousin George joined them at the end for the big finish. They hope to have it down by mid-season.

Happy Easter!

Look what the Bunny brought! And he made a mess, too. Someone ought to teach him (and Santa) some manners.

The Easter Bunny also brought Isla some more teeth on the top. Two more to be exact! The Tooth Tracker can hardly keep up!

The teeth sure don't stop the fun though (just the sleep)! We colored more eggs today, got more presents from the Bunny that came to Grandma and Grandpa's house and had brunch that Daddy made. Later we're heading down to Big Yia Yia's house for a Greaster (Greek Easter) dinner! There better be mac n' cheese there!

Here comes Peter Cottontail...

Wow! We can't believe we're at 100! And what better way to celebrate this special occasion than spending the day with Isla's cousins and coloring Easter eggs!

Kameron and Isla did pretty well considering their ages and there is no permanent evidence left on Nick and Jaime's kitchen floor.

Even little Keaton was in awe of their talent.

We really enjoyed our day, but had to get back home to get Isla's Easter basket ready for the Bunny's visit. She left him some carrots and a special Rice Krispie Treat easter egg. Yum! I heard the Bunny isn't in to beer like Santa was, so she left him some water. He's gotta stay hydrated with all of that hopping!

Check back in the morning...
