W!

Isla went to her first Cubs game on May 1st and she is 1-0! It was a beautiful day for a ball game and Isla definitely knows why they call it the "Friendly Confines!"

Here's Cubs rookie left-hander James Russell getting loose in the outfield before the game.

And here's Isla with her first ball, courtesy of James Russell, our new favorite Cub.

It was Dora the Explorer day, so Isla got a Dora doll! Unfortunately, Dora couldn't find the strike zone and bounced her ceremonial first pitch in the dirt.

Vince Vaughn threw a second ceremonial first pitch and later serenaded us with the 7th inning stretch.

Isla was a little perplexed and couldn't figure out how Carlos Silva could give up a second home run to Mark Reynolds, putting the Cubs down 5-2 headed into the bottom of the 5th.

That's more like it! After a 2 run homer by Soriano in the 7th to tie it, D. Lee smacked a 2 run single to give the Cubs a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the 8th.

Isla couldn't watch in the bottom of the 9th when Carlos Marmol loaded the bases before getting the final out...

...and the Cubs win!

Our little Cub fan did great and made it through the whole game, but was out as soon as we strapped her into the car seat.
